If Audrey Hepburn and James Bond had a baby girl, she would wear Pink Tartan. Designer Kimberley Newport-Mimran takes classic pieces like trench coats, black pants, and knit dresses and adds fresh details like shine and ruffles to keep them new.
The models all had large, teased coifs sometimes paired with cat-eyed sunglasses, very reminiscent of the sexy Bond girls. Kimberley’s use of color and patterns kept the line lady-like and playful.
Her blue-on-blue ensemble of slim fitted trousers and a classic button down won my heart! As did her black and blue polka dot skirt paired with a white turtleneck (very Hepburn) and the striped knit dress that fit the models’ body like a glove.
Overall, the collection was very sophisticated without being too prim-and-proper.
