Few designers create timeless, sporty pieces like Derek Lam, and the Derek Lam Spring 2012 collection is a perfect depiction of what the California-born designer is capable of.
Full of delicate sweaters and bold color, the pieces were eye-catching, yet totally wearable. Sporty blazers, leather trench coats, and well tailored separates are balanced by feminine silhouettes, with longer hemlines and vibrant patterns.
Classic silhouettes and patterns like ‘60s mod-inspired graphic prints and pencil skirts added a timelessness to the Derek Lam Spring 2012 collection, while trendy colors of the season like canary yellow and coral made sure each look was current and right on trend.
