Filled with girlie shapes, florals, stripes and a backdrop of birch, feminine florals floated down Tracy Reese’s runway. Her collection felt as if I was strolling through the park on a lovely spring afternoon in Paris circa 1940. Softly voluminous styles pair with lean, refined silhouettes, evolving proportions with a focus on modern fluidity.

A feminine yet relaxed mood is achieved through the juxtaposition of romance and sport, comfort and flattery. Subtle hues of khaki and blush mixed with pastel shades of waterfall, misty blue and aqua tears gradually intensify to deep saturated tones and neon brights, making a bold splash for the transition into summer.

The front row was full of celebs including Solange Knowles (recording artist/actress), Jamie-Lynn Sigler (“Entourage”), Katie Cassidy (“Gossip Girl” & “Monte Carlo”), Tika Sumpter (“Gossip Girl”), Selita Ebanks (model), Louise Roe (TV personality), Aisha Tyler (actress), Angela Bassett (“Green Lantern” & “ER”), and June Ambrose (stylist). Season after season, Tracy Reese stays true to her design aesthetic, but always manages to bring something new to the table. This collection is simply breathtaking. Kudos to Tracy!
