Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week S/S 2012: Tadashi Shoji

The NYLA Report

Tadashi Shoji epitomized the essence of spring time and was clearly inspired by a beautiful garden for his spring 2012 collection – paying homage to the enchanting beauty and splendor of the tulip. Rich in its color yet delicate in its form, this admired bloom is full of life, incessantly evolving and changing in shape. (photo credit: Tafari K. Stevenson-Howard)

The NYLA Report

Floral appliqués, floral prints and floral-inspired lace adorned nearly all of the beautiful cocktail dresses and gown which took to the runway.  Tiered tulle dresses shimmered on the runway as their metallic embroidered details provided the sparkle. A vibrant palette of flora in shades of fern, magnolia, rosebud, and willow are infused in the exquisite fabrics of silk linen, embroidered lace and draped tulle.

Celebs spotted front row were Carrie Preston, JoJo, Julia Jones, and Virgina Williams.
