The NYLA Report - The NYLA Report

It seemed like Nicole Miller was aiming for a futuristic, sexy, out-of-this-world look for Fall 2011–and of course, she nailed it. The collection contained looks that mixed angles over curves with a menswear influence, pants–both slouchy and slim, metallics and sharp tailoring to produce flawless pieces.

Mostly sticking with black and gray with pops of persimmon and cerulean blue, it was the perfect way to add color for fall. Geometry was a key aspect in collection featuring quadrilaterals and triangles digitally printed on surfaces.

The kind PR people gave me backstage access to briefly interview Nicole Miller moments before the show. In the midst of all the chaos going on backstage, Nicole Miller was quite calm and collective. And to make this interview even more amazing, Nicole Miller knew about The NYLA Report! I also had the chance to speak with one of the models in the show.
