Can I say swoon-worthy? Mark my words – these dresses are red carpet ready! Inspired by a dream from the Garden of Eden, Monique Lhuillier created a sartorial garden of cocktail dresses and gorgeous floor-length gowns rendered in a feminine palette of soft blues, greens, pinks, and whites with pops of apple red pieces. Subtle reptile print chiffons and floral brocades continued the garden theme with gold palettes and embroidery that looked like shimmering dew.
This collection played around with various neckline shapes and strap variations, alternating between strapless, one strap and two straps, each varying in width. Monique Lhuillier certainly has a way with capturing the essence of feminine with her gowns.
Celebs spotted front row included; Olivia Palermo (The City), Brad Goreski (Rachel Zoe’s assistant) Alexis Bledel (Gilmore Girls), Maggie Grace (Lost), Perrey Reeves (Entourage) and Jessica Lowndes (90210).
