Bravo! Bravo! The mastermind behind Twinkle by Wenlan — Wenlan Chia, deserves a bow. The collection was chic with inspiration drawn from Hansel and Gretel — a whimsical fairytale. It was feminine and playful, while telling a story of darkness and innocence. It consisted of sharp shapes, breezy silhouettes in shades of blue and mustard, thick cable knit sweaters and plunging necklines. Designers at NYFW are notorious for making unrealistic clothes, but I can totally picture this collection in my wardrobe. So yay for wearable clothes!!
Celebrity sightings included: Angela Simmons (TV personality/fashion entrepreneur), Miss Jay (former America’s Next Top Model), Miri Ben-Ari (Hip Hop Violinist) and Erin Lucas (The City).
Fun fact: I actually sat 2 rows behind Angela and didn’t realize it until the show was over. FML…
