Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour and fashion designer Marc Jacobs made a guest appearance on the  Jimmy Fallon show last night to discuss deets on Fashion’s Night Out. If you missed out, here’s The Cut has the full clip. I must say, it’s one of thee most awkward talk show segments I’ve ever seen, but I’ll let you be the judge.

P.S. Marc Jacobs is hot. That is all.

Started my morning with the best news EVER!

After rumors and gossip hoopla, it’s confirmed that Lanvin designers Alber Elbaz (womenswear) and Lucas Ossendrijver (menswear) are collaborating with H&M for a holiday collection set to be released around November 23 to 200 H&M stores worldwide. YAY!!!

Comprised of both womenswear and menswear, the collection will be revealed to the world on November 2, just three weeks before the clothes hit the store, making the launch of Lanvin for H&M among the most anticipated fashion events of the year.

How exciting?!!

With New York Fashion just a week away, FIJI Water announced  that it will serve as the official water sponsor.  FIJI Water is planning several fashionable activities throughout the week, including creative partnerships with two leading designers–Christian Siriano and Charlotte Ronson.

Both joined forces with FIJI Water to create exclusive looks inspired by the brand’s iconic square bottle, pristine source and distinctive taste.  Each designer has fashioned a creation that will debut prior to their runway shows at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.

This oughta be interesting and we look forward to seeing both collections!

Episode Recap: The Rachel Zoe Project, Season 3 Episode 5

It’s official…I want Rachel Zoe’s life.

Last night, not only did she pal around with Hollywood starlet Kate Hudson in London, but she attended Milan Fashion Week. After Kate requested that Rachel attend the Burberry show with her, Rachel rearranged her hectic schedule to have some girl time with the actress. It was refreshing to see a laid back, free spirit personality on the show for a minute, balancing Rachel’s usual craziness and high-stress level…not to mention Kate’s natural look had me completely drooling – effortless beauty!

From London, Rachel traveled to Italy, attending various shows and events during Milan Fashion Week. Alberta Ferretti, a timeless favorite of Rachel’s, blew her away once again. The classic elegance and femininity overtook the runway, revealing the obvious talent of Italian mastermind, Ferretti.

Next stop, Missoni. After the runway shows had commenced, Rachel spent time attending specific events, showrooms and parties. She visited the Missoni showroom, playing dress up with Brad for a few hours, and then selecting a few purchases to serve as inspiration for her QVC line. Bvlgari was on the list as well. Rachel made a point to attend their after party, looking chic as always in a head to toe black ensemble. Italy was more than fabulous but its time for the Zoe team to get back to LA for award season. It’s ’bout to get B-A-N-A-N-A-S.

It was enough glitz to make the red carpet sparkle at this years Emmy Awards. Hollywood’s royalty got glam for TV’s biggest night. I couldn’t pick a fave, but my two top picks were Kim Kardashian and Nina Dobrev.

Episode Recap: The Rachel Zoe Project, Season 3 Episode 4

By Shelby   |    August 25, 2010 20:13    |   Reality TV Show   |    1 Comment

The NYLA Reportvia Bravo TV

Slowing down from last week’s hectic madness, this week was all about indulging in some quality New York Fashion Week time. Rachel died at the stunning collections of Oscar De La Renta, Donna Karan, Marc Jacobs and Marchesa. Brad was put in charge of covering the Derek Lam show. He instantly fell in love with the finale dress–a true white perfection for Cameron Diaz to wear at the Oscars.

But–of course–something had to go wrong. Brad was later informed that guests were asked avoid white at the Oscars due to the stage, therefore crushing his shining opportunity of styling and Cameron’s white carpet moment.

On the other side of town, Rachel was busy preparing her QVC line for a live fashion show. All went smoothly and many pieces of the collection sold out.

Not only was this week fabulous because of the overflowing fashions, but it was Rachel and Rodger’s anniversary as well. While juggling shows and meetings and fittings, the chic couple was finally able to steal a bit of time for themselves. They enjoyed a quiet meal at their favorite restaurant in the city, Babbo. While their relationship is flawless and adorable as is, I must admit – I’m siding with Rachel’s suburban sister and praying they decide to have a baby soon!

Sneak Peek: Nicholas K Spring/Summer 2011

By Asia   |    01:07    |   Fashion Week   |    2 Comments

The NYLA Reportimages via Nicholas K

Nicholas K is making their New York Fashion Week debut on September 9 at Lincoln Center. Until then, the label released an early preview look.

The brother and sister duo design team, Nicholas Kunz and Christopher Kunz, were heavily influenced by military looks. Taking the utilitarian concept into avant-garde, the collection fuses berets and head scarf-like accessories with dusty, earth-colored clothing that verges on modern and urban.

By the way, we’ll be covering this show, so stay tuned for complete coverage.

Enjoy the sneak peek before it hits the runway:
